Giants In The Water
When you think of fish, you probably think of little creatures swimming around in the water. But did you know there are a lot of other species that fall under the fish category? Because let us tell you, many of these animals are far bigger than you might imagine. Here are five of the biggest fish in the sea.
1. Whale Shark
Given that they're called "whale" sharks, it makes sense that they're considered the biggest fish in the sea. Reaching up to a whopping 19 meters long, you're lucky whale sharks are slow swimmers. Imagine how terrifying it'd be to have one of these coming right at you at high speeds!

2. Basking Shark
This plankton-eating shark might be smaller than the whale shark, but they'll still manage to take your breath away with their size. On average, basking sharks are around 8 meters long, but they have the potential to grow up to more than 10 meters.
3. Great White Shark
Known for their terrifying reputation of being one of the most dangerous predators lurking in the ocean, it doesn't fare us well that the great white shark is also one of the biggest fish in the ocean. With their intimidating features, their presence is made even scarier by the fact that they typically grow up to 5 meters long.

4. Tiger Shark
Another scary creature in the ocean, the tiger shark, with its cool dark stripes and sharp teeth, isn't just a deadly nocturnal hunter, but a big one at that. Growing up to 5 meters long like the great white, this fish is definitely not one you want to come across in the water.
5. Giant Oceanic Manta Ray
Finally, something that's not a shark! The giant oceanic manta ray is truly a sight to behold. They just look so majestic swimming around with their massive fins! Though they grow to be around 4.5 meters on average, bigger ones have been seen to be as big as 9 meters!
