There's a whole lot of ocean out there that's unexplored, which can feel a bit frightening, but on the bright side, we know not every creature in the water is terrifying. In fact, some are just downright adorable! To show you that not everything in the ocean needs to be feared, here are five of the cutest sea animals to admire.

1. Sea Otters

One look is all you need to see how sea otters rightfully belong on this list. Not only do they just look adorable with their round faces and whiskers, but they're known for being a cuddly bunch too, which only adds to their cutenness factor. Some animals are just made to be cute, and sea otters are exactly that.

2. Sea Horses

There's just something enchanting about the way sea horses float and hop around in the ocean. Their upright swimming style makes them unique, but it's their colorful skin, horse-like features, and generally small size that make them an adorable sea animal.

3. Dumbo Octopus

Dumbo octopus seems like an apt name, no? With strangely cute ears that flop out just like the animated elephant, this sea creature has an adorable quality to it that's hard to put your finger on. 5. Sea Turtles

The way sea turtles float around in the ocean, slowly swimming away, just gives them such a laid-back, relaxed look. With their flippers, large shell, and heads peeking out front, people fall in love with their gentle demeanor. The hit movie Finding Nemo and the beloved baby turtle Squirt likely helped further this animal's appeal too.
